Hey sis,
An early Happy New Year to you! Can you believe it’s the last day of 2023? I am so grateful for our community and how far we’ve come, individually and collectively. I am so proud of us and hopeful for even more greatness in 2024.
Here’s our 2023 Wrapped!
In 2023, Sisterly HQ shared over 1000 opportunities and resources and amplified 26 stories of Nigerian women. We organized 12 virtual workshops including Office Hours with Yvonne Alozie Obi, Embracing Global Opportunities, and Opportunity Party.
Our website attracted over 63,000 visitors from 102 countries, with Nigerians making up 81% of those visitors. We wrote 34 newsletters in 2023 which gained over 3700 subscribers and over 67,000 reads. We found personalized opportunities for 40 sisters in FindHer.
This year, Sisterly HQ grew to over 40,000 members across our social media platforms and newsletter. We expanded to TikTok and hit over 1 Million views across social media this year. We joined the Western Union Foundation Fellowship and entered into partnerships with amazing organizations.
Thank you to our partners, friends, supporters, and of course, the Sisterly HQ community for being a part of our story. Together, we made an impact in 2023. Cheers to even more impact in 2024!

Stories
This year, we shared 26 stories of Nigerian women. We shared stories of period poverty, excelling in international spaces, beautiful friendships, leaving home, unexpected events, grief and loss, and many more. We are grateful to every Nigerian woman who trusted us to amplify her story in 2023. Thank you.
In 2024, we want to amplify your story, sis. How? It’s so simple. Submit here.

Impact Stories
This is what impact looks like! We are so proud of our growth in 2023. However, our favorite part is your stories of real change and impact.
This year, we helped Dani become a tech sis through the Women Techsters program, helped Motalani get into a United Nations program, helped Jennifer get into The Social Star Initiative, helped Stephanie get into the Chatham House Summer School, helped Ewaoluwa get into the Blvnk Africa mentorship program, and many more.
But let’s dive into one story in particular. In Praise’s words, ‘I came across this page in January 2023 and I was shocked as to how many opportunities you release almost every day. I ignored the page because I didn't think I could win scholarships, internships, or even fellowships (I graduated with a 2:2, you see)…. You pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me believe in myself’. This year, she landed 6 opportunities from Sisterly HQ including the Aspire Leaders Program, all the way from Harvard Business School.
A huge congratulations to all our sisters for your growth in 2023. We go again in 2024! Did you land an opportunity from Sisterly HQ in 2023 or was a tip helpful? Share with us here.
Let’s Talk
We want to hear from you, sisters. What would you like to see at Sisterly HQ in 2024? A particular speaker? Topic? Opportunity? Community building initiative? Program? What can we do better for you? What can we do differently?
