Sybil and Epere’s story, a $60K award for female tech founders, and tailoring your resume!
5 minutes read
Hey sis,
How often do you ask for help? As Nigerian women, we’ve been taught to not trust anyone with our burdens. While there’s a place for discernment, I want you to know that you are deserving of community. The other day, I shared a challenge I was facing with a group. And guess what? Many of them were facing the same issues. And they were able to share solutions and coping mechanisms with me. Sis, you are so deserving of a safe space to seek wise counsel, share your challenges, and grow.
A snapshot of this week’s letter
The first episode of our Sisterly Love series featuring Sybil and Epere.
An award for female tech founders worth $60,000.
Our sis is transitioning careers and we found this role for her.
A resource for Nigerian women in engineering.
Stories
Sisterly Love: Sybil and Epere
Sybil talks about meeting Epere in 2013 and how their friendship has evolved despite being complete opposite people.
“One time, we were both coming from class, and Epere's shoes came apart. She was shy to walk barefooted, so I took mine off, and we were barefooted together.”
