Hey sis,
I hope your week went well. Did you attend our last Office Hour with Yvonne Alozie Obi yesterday? I can’t believe 10 weeks have passed so quickly. It’s been remarkable learning practical strategies and tips to find flow, discover our purpose, identify our passions, build high-value skills, and find the right balance. Catch up on the last session here.
Tomorrow, December 17, we are holding our last session for the year. Join us and Bukola Omokehinde, an educator, entrepreneur, organizational psychology professional, and Global Talent in the United Kingdom as we discuss shrinking ignorance debt and mastering critical thinking. We are closing the year with a bang! Join us at 4:00 pm WAT on Instagram Live.
Finally, I am so excited to announce that Sisterly HQ, in partnership with the Western Union Foundation and the Watson Institute will be holding a free 2-day hybrid program in January 2024 on personal and career development called The MastHER Class. Holding in Lagos, it will feature sessions with experts on personal branding and storytelling, finance, leveraging LinkedIn, navigating rejections and goal-setting, as well as an Opportunity Lab with in-person sessions on resume writing, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Due to limited resources, we have only 70 slots available. Applications open in a few days. Follow us on Instagram to be notified.
Our fully-funded scholarship offer to take a filmmaking course at the KAP Film and Television Academy is still open until December 31, 2023! Apply here.

Hot tip: What if I don’t have a degree? This is a question I often get from members of our community. Not having a degree is NOT the end, sis. You can go back to school - it’s never too late. And if school isn’t for you, there are alternatives including traineeships, apprenticeships, and even technical boot camps. Some opportunities on our website don’t specify degrees at all and others ask for experience as an alternative. You can get in as long as you have the experience. Programs like the Thiel Fellowship give $100,000 to young people to skip school. Don’t limit yourself, sis.
